Wednesday, April 12th: Class Egg Hunt-please send in 12 plastic, candy-filled (no chocolate) eggs and a basket by Tuesday. We will have an egg hunt following our afternoon resource. You are invited to come and watch and take pictures. We should begin around 1:10. There is no “party” for parents to attend, but students will be having a special snack during before the egg hunt.

Thursday, April 27th 10:00-12:00: Field Trip UGA Marine Education Center and Aquarium. No parents will be able to join us due to space limitations. Students will need to bring a lunch from home. Students should wear their field trip t-shirts and comfortable shoes.
Saturday, April 29th: Super Saturday! Be sure to mark you calendar and come out for a day of Raider Family Fun!

May 26th: Last day of School!!!! Class party at 11:00. Parents are welcome (please no siblings due to space).

spell these words: asleep, jar, frank, rest
syllables: no new syllables

Social Sciences: Continue unit on Matter
Reading: We will continue with Reading Groups.
Spelling: This week we will have 15 spelling words and 5 bonus words. We will have a spelling test Friday, April 21st. Students will write these words when I call them out. Students should learn the 15 spelling words first. For a challenge, they can also learn the five bonus words. All students will take the bonus portion of the test. For each bonus word spelled correctly, the student will get 1 extra point on the test. There is no penalty for spelling a bonus word incorrectly.

Memory Verse: Students should be able to recite Psalm 23:3 to me this week. Next week, Psalm 23:1-3 will be said to Mrs. Eubank that we have learned the past 3 weeks. Be sure to review at home each night.
Handwriting: We will practice writing words in our best handwriting. Please make sure you are still working on correct letter formation and line placement. Don’t forget those monkey tails!
Creative Writing: Students will continue to practice writing complete sentences using capital letters at the beginning and periods at the end. I will introduce question marks this week. We will continue learning the parts of a sentence. We will be writing super sentences. All sentences should have these four parts:
Begin with a capital letter.
End with a punctuation mark.
Make sense.
Be written neatly.
They should also have a naming part and a telling part!

Monday: Math sheet, study Bible verse, spelling words, phonics sounds and math facts-Send in Easter basket and plastic, candy-filled eggs on Tuesday!
