Happiness is… First Grade!
My name is Kim Hayes and I am excited to be your child’s teacher this school year. I hope to provide your child with meaningful experiences that will help him/her develop a lifelong love for learning. I have been teaching at Savannah Christian Preparatory School for the past fourteen years.
I grew up in a small town near Augusta and attended Augusta State University. I became involved in a college ministry, Campus Outreach, which the Lord used to completely change my life. I spent my summers training in Bible study and evangelism. While spending the summer on an overseas mission trip to Thailand I met Ken Hayes, a 1994 graduate of SCPS and my future husband!
Soon after returning from Thailand I transferred to Georgia Southern University. I graduated from the GSU College of Education in 2001 and I am certified in both Secondary Education and Early Childhood Education. I truly enjoy seeing the children grow physically, spiritually and intellectually.
Ken and I have been married for 14 years and we have 2 children attending SCPS. Our daughter, Anna, will be entering 6th grade this year and our son, Witt, will be entering 4th grade. We are active members at the First Presbyterian Church of Pooler.
I look forward to teaching your child and my prayer is that the Lord would use SCPS in a life-changing way this school year. I am humbled that I am able to be a part of His work here at this school!
I look forward to working alongside you to make this a wonderful year for your child. Please be sure to check my website weekly for important updates and announcements. It is also where you can keep up with what we are learning each week. Your child’s Daily Communication Folder is a great way to send me any notes or messages. E-mail is another great way to get in touch with me should you have any questions or concerns (please allow 24 hours for a response). My email address and website are listed below:
