Math: This week we continue chapter 10 –We will take a Diagnostic Checkpoint. We will also spend time reviewing many of the concepts we have learned this year (time, money, regrouping, etc.)
Timed Tests: We will continue taking timed tests each week. The students are doing a great job. Continue practicing the facts listed below.
For subtraction, we will test on mixed 6 and 7 in 4 minutes
For addition, we will have complete 50 problems in 3 minutes.

Bible: We will learn about Elijah and how he helped others. Students will also need to recite the following verses for a grade:
Psalm 23:1-6 “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He guides me in the paths of righteousness for his name sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for you are with me; your rod and staff, they comfort me. Handwriting: We will practice writing words in our best handwriting.
Creative Writing: Students will continue to practice writing complete sentences using capital letters at the beginning and periods at the end. We will continue learning the parts of a sentence. We will be writing super sentences. All sentences should have these four parts:
Begin with a capital letter.
End with a punctuation mark.
Be written neatly.
They will write sentences with their spelling words, and write in their journals daily. Each sentence should have a naming part and a telling part!
